On Sunday when we got home from church, Giselle started getting very sick and throwing up so we put her outside. We quickly noticed, however, that she could hardly walk so we went outside to see if she was going to be okay. She was still gagging a little bit so I didn't want to let her back inside, but was surprised at how docile she was when I tried to pet and hold her (she is normally a VERY mean cat). I decided to go back inside and check on her every few minutes, and the 4th or 5th time I went to check on her, she was gone. Just gone. That was 4 days ago, and she has not come home. We are pretty sure she went away to die somewhere.
And the babies were 5 weeks old on that day. One of them had tasted kitten food before that, but the other 4 were still nursing exclusively. It took them about a day to get used to the KMR formula and not having their mommy around, but they are starting to like people A LOT. They are also starting to eat the kitten food, but are very glad when I take pity on their cries and give them formula. Here is Patch with formula on her chin:

And here they are just after the second, very successful attempt at formula feeding. Don't fall asleep sitting up, Lily!
Edgar still cleans their fur, thankfully.Scott built them a nice cage to keep them contained while they get the hang of using a litter box. They don't have a mommy to show them how. Here they are playing in their cage, just before falling asleep next to their heater:

That's great that they are adjusting to life without their mom. Good for Edgar for keeping their fur clean! I really like the 2nd video the cat in the middle that is not white or black (it that Lily?). Her mouth is very funny!!
Yeah, that is Lily. Because she is a Tiger Lily.
You named them without my wonderful input? goodness! they are very cute. I wish I could play with them.
