Playing Homeless

Last night we had the pleasure of attending our Ward Campout at Jolley's Ranch in Hobble Creek Canyon. Scott bought us our first tent yesterday. He made sure it was big enough to fit our fancy, raised, queen sized air mattress and got everything set up (including flannel sheets and the down comforter) before I got off work. He even brought a cooler with snacks and the supplies for dutch oven cobbler. We got to spend a fun night talking around the campfire, making new friends and learning more about the people we already know. Like, the Bryners for example. They wear matching footie pajamas.

I was quite surprised when the last people went to be around 10:45. On an average weeknight, we don't get to bed until at least 12:30. So, we ended up laying in our luxurious bed for awhile trying to sleep, and listening to the babies cry and the kids get in trouble.

Unfortunately, Edgar had previously punctured our air mattress. We realized this at 4:30 am when we woke up with our bums on the ground. Ouch. We ended up letting all the air out of the mattress and sleeping, surprisingly soundly although for only 2 hours, on the ground. And then woke up to a really loud warrior-fighting game that involved a lot of shouting and stick throwing. Yea for little boys.

The Rowes brought their CUTE CUTE CUTE tiny puppy, Leia. Here is their equally cute daughter, Audrey, holding her.

And we are tired, but glad we went!
